A barrage of Truckers camped near the Capital building in Washington D.C. on April 28, 2008 to protest high fuel prices. Two organizations, that of the Members of Truckers and Citizens United parked their big rigs at RFK stadium.
They’re complaint to Congress called on cutting subsidies to Oil Companies, release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserves and oil exportation from Alaska. PUMP N’ GO wrote an earlier article about truckers striking, and well we have to admit, we’re glad more of them are doing it. If no truckers stand out and call for change, the Government will continue to be blind to the truckers and everyone else’s calling for low fuel costs.
