In the United States, the national average of gas rose to $3.40 a gallon as crude oil slipped down one point to $115.00 a barrel. As the summer is approaching, demand for gas will increase due to the fact that people want to travel and visit family or go on vacation. However, the price of gas will increase as well during the summer months due to a recession, oil trading, the Iraq war, oil refinery decline, global demand, and the devaluing of the American dollar.

Maybe the American people should pressure the Government to open its own oil reserves? That will dramatically help us reduce our dependency of oil from foreign countries. After all, those oil reserves in our country belongs to the American public since its an asset. Yet the Government freezes that asset and will only use it for a real emergency. Well PUMP N’ GO thinks the rise of oil and gas that tripled in the last 2-3 weeks is considered a REAL emergency.
