Many years ago Stanley Meyer turned his Volkswagen dune buggy into a vehicle run solely on water.  The engine fuel cell would split water into hydrogen and oxygen gas which then is combusted back into water vapor to produce net energy.  Conspiracy theorists believe that his untimely death at 57 years old was caused by food poisoning organized by oil companies and the U.S. government.  Though he is no longer with us today, Stanley Meyer is still a hero to those of us who pray for the day we no longer have to depend on oil.
